Zenith was a swiss-based group formed in the beginning of 1989 by Anome
68000 a few weeks after the death of the legendary Ackerlight. In fact,
early Zenith was almost identical to the Swiss section of Ackerlight :) As
they grew, they gained sections in other countries, but leadership remained
in Switzerland. The group had interests in both the demoscene and the
illegal cracking scene, where they remained active at least until 1994.
Their slogan was "Totally Abnormal But Still Cool".
1992 - Swiss Slain (02-04/92) joined with his newly opened HALLOWED
POINT, but left for Fusion towards the end of the year, taking trader team
Sabber and Floyd with him.
1993 - THE ELECTRIC CO likely took over WHQ status from DAMNED CITADEL
sometime this year.

Swiss Modem Charts #4 (1992, 29.11, OCS File Mag).
  code: Dr.Jones, Stef, gfx: Peace/Brainstorm, music: Donaldini/Synthetic,
editors: Neptun (main), ITH. info: Since Anome stepped down after 5
issues, this is the first one with Neptun as main editor.

  Bucefalo V1.0 Intro (1992, .12?, OCS Intro).
code: Samir, Belsebuth, gfx: Flash Fox (chars), music: Filippetto.
info: Apparently an intro for a tool for swappers, coded by Filippetto.
Release date loosely based on other productions in the pack where I found
it. A more exact date might be extractable if I can find the original tool
  distribution.

Freedom Crack #11 (1993, .03, ECS Multifile Diskmag).
INT - code: Tibo, gfx: Fox, music: "Smaugroove" by Case.
MAG - code: Samir, Teo/independent, Filippetto (additional), gfx:
        Magic/independent, Blacky/independent, Fox (loadpic), music:
"Freedom" by Funschis, "Medley" by Case, "30November" Filippetto,
        editor: Filippetto.
review: This issue of FC is audio-visually very good, with top-notch but
minimalist input in both code, graphics and music departments. Where it
fails, though, is on the editorial side of things. It looks great, but
there just isn't a lot of interesting stuff to read, I'm afraid. The code
has been heavily improved before the release of this issue, they inform
us, and we can't but agree. The last issue I saw of FC was #8 (in Vega),
and this one's certainly a lot better than that. It's stable, for one
  thing :) [glenn]

Zenon is an entirely finnish demo group.

Zero Defects (http://zerodefects.babylonet.com)
-----------------------------------------------
ITA> Dr.Sam (trade, 90), Paranoid (code, 90), Terminator (code, 90), Xenio
     (code, 90).

Boards; BROTHERS MOOD (ita, 09/90).

Zero Defects was an italian based group, and was the best group in Italy in
1990 and 1991. They also had divisions in at least England. In time, the
group died, as many members went off to make games.

Zylon (1990-)
-------------
Zylon was one of Alpha Flight's subgroups, formed in february 1990, before
the entire group decided to liberate itself and exist in their own right.
They never made much of themselves on their own, though. They were likely
German based.
