Nah Kolor was originally formed in the middle of 1995 by the Polish section
of TRSI to serve as their demosection - like Surprise! Productions and
Masque had in the past. However, the plans had not been correctly cleared
with the leaders of TRSI, and at The Party 5, Nah Kolor was given the
choice of being real TRSI members or leaving. The result was that Norby and
Bald Horse decided to stay in TRSI, and that the rest continued as Nah Kolor
on their own.

  The Prophecy (1997, 09.08, 64k Intro).
code: Metal Designer, Hedgehog, gfx: Fra, Fame, Tudor/The Black Lotus
  (face object), music: Muffler/Haujobb.
5th in the Assembly 97 64k intro competition.
review: A real nice little intro from Nah Kolor here, that scores lots on
its colorfulness and the smooth finish to much of its effects. Though most
of the 3d routines are in 2x2 resolution, it never really appears blocky,
perhaps apart from the very last envmap object. After a long pause for
precalculation, the intro opens with a pretty cool flashing twirling
effect :), and continues with a rotzooming bumpmap routine which looks
very cool and colorful! Next we travel into a morphing tunnel, with smooth
finishing, which magically morphs into an envmapped face object! Next is a
2x2 water ripple effect, an envmap object before the entire thing is
concluded with a NAH KOLOR logo done by Fame back in 96 (as the signature
tells us). You have to press LMB to exit the intro, and when I did it
crashed - both on hardware and in an emulator... oh well :)

Episode (1997, 31.08, AGA HD Multifile Demo).

Player 6.0A format). 4th in the Gravity 97 demo competition.
review: Wow. This was unexpected. What a demo! This one is great, has a
fabulous soundtrack that keeps things uptempo, some great effects and a
collection of awesome fullscreen pictures from the polish greats, Lazur
and Fame. Considerable style. That's all I can say, right now. Awesome!
Stop reading, go download this now, and enjoy!
Lazur's graphical contributions are all dated, "95", so they probably
were lying around for a while before they were finally used here. The demo
crashed after 30 seconds on native hardware. It also crashed on exit in
the emulated scenario, but that's not so serious - I got to see the whole
  demo at least. [glenn 08/05]

11/91), Munchie (supply, 06-09/92), Nocternal (supply, 03/92), Scorpio
(supply, 03/92), TIC (crack, new 11/91), Zelnik (new 11/91).

Boards; JINXX (usa, 06-07/92).

Nemesis was an illegal cracking group, formed in november 1991 by N.O.M.A.D,
Action Man, Zelnik, Infiltrator, The Surge and TIC, after they all left
Quartex. Their last release was made in august 1992, so it is natural to
assume this is also the month of their death.
1992 - German trader Pioneer was busted for blueboxing in april, and
likely discontinued his career in the scene after this. The board JINXX was
listed as a distsite in a cracktro from april, but was apparently a full
member board by june. A text file was spread on the 29th of may, saying
british cracker N.O.M.A.D had left the group, naturally meaning the group's
cracking power was severely hurt. Then, a new text file was spread on the
1st of august, saying The Surge (and consequently also his board SURGELAND)
left the group. With him, the group lost their second topnotch cracker in
three months, and this was likely the spark that lead to the group's death
that same month.

  Cracktro #2 (1992, ECS Intro).
code: n/a, gfx: Quartz/Digital, music: Morph.

info: Produced for the group by Digital. Used for at least Civilization
  100% (1st july 1992).

  Cracktro #4 (1992, ECS Intro).
info: Completely static intro with a NEMESIS logo on top, a black
background and otherwise just white text beneath. Used (it seems)
exclusively on cracks by N.O.M.A.D, and probably coded by him too. He has
used similar intros in the past and future. Used for at least Legend
(31st of march 92, crack: N.O.M.A.D, supply: Nocternal, Scorpio).

  Cracktro #5 (1991, ECS Intro).
code: Bansai, gfx: n/a, music: n/a.
info: There is no mention in the intro of whether Bansai is actually a
member of Nemesis, or any credits for the graphics and music. Used for at
least A.G.E (13th december 1991, crack: The Surge).

  Cracktro #6 (1992, ECS Intro).
info: Intro made by Surprise! Productions/TRSI. Used for at least Bravo
Romeo Delta (16th of april 1992, crack: N.O.M.A.D).

code: Schlott, gfx: Meson, music: "3 Minutes" by Ganja, "Aphrodesic" by
Jam & Spoon, remixed by Ganja (The Player 6.1A format).
Winner of the Assembly 97 demo competition!
review: If "Captured Dreams" is the demo king of 1997, then "Pulse" is
certainly the handsome prince! From out of nowhere comes a gang of
British sceners, lead on by a coder noone's really heard of before, and
shows the finns at the Assembly what TOTAL DOMINATION looks like! There
are heaps and heaps of excellent, greatlooking, innovative effects, as
well as two thumping techno soundtracks and graphics that are functional.
You don't really mind that there's only one fullscreen picture, and that
it's not particularly exciting, because there's so much else going on.
The fact that there's no outstanding graphics and sound are more than
made up for by the code. "Pulse" is almost 8 minutes (at least on my
machine ;]) of some of the most pure enjoyable demo material I've seen in
ages. Thank you, Schlott - I can watch another two hundred boring BBS
  intros now =)
If this is their idea of a demo made for 060 owners, then I guess I'll
be able to live with my 030 for a while longer. You see, I encountered no
problems whatsoever on my machine; not the slightest hint that it wasn't
catching up. One of the top 3 demos of 1997, no doubt about it. The
raytraced picture of the fish is "Catching Rays" by Meson, which came 4th
in the raytrace competition at the same party. [glenn]

-------------
NOR> SwEinstein (Svein Berge, code, 11/91).
GER> Hellraiser (sysop HELLBOUND, 12/91).
USA> Merlin (sysop BUCCANEER'S DEN, 12/91).

Network was a Norwegian demo group, and an offshoot of the c64 group of the
same name. Several members of Cult (including e.g. Sweinstein) joined when
that group dissolved.
1991 - Norwegian musician Sphinx left the group late this year, lost his
handle in favour of his real name (Steinar Apalnes) and joined the much
smaller group Airborn. In an interview in RAW #1, he quoted his reasons as
being the fact that all other members of the group lived too far away from
him, making personal contact problematic.

Watch This (1990, 06.10, OCS File Demo).
4th in the No Limits & Imp-666 Amiga Conference 90 demo competition.

  BBS-Intro (1991, 01.12, OCS Intro).
info: A basic bbs intro for HELLBOUND and BUCCANEER'S DEN, curiously
  featuring no credits whatsoever.

Neutron was, as far as I can see, based around toolcracks.

???> M.M (code, 11/91).

Boards; THE ABYZZ (nor, 11/91), DAWN'S END (usa, 11/91).

New Wave was a norwegian demo group, with some members in foreign countries.
There is no relation between this group and the c64 group of the same name,
active around 1987.
1991 - American sysop Cyberbit joined late this year with LIGHTYEARS,
bringing the number of boards in the group up to three. The diskmag "RAW #1"
was then released in november, in cooperation with Pure Metal Coders.
Involved from New Wave were M.M (code), Mutant (music), Comajim (music) and
Cyberbit (writer).

retained his membership in ArtCore, but was spotted in Outlaws as his second
group next year.
