This directory contains the Windows GUI version of the "VZEM" VZ/Laser emulator, written by Guy Thomason.

The executable file was renamed and zipped in order to attempt to bypass anti-virus software, simple firewalls and the likes of Outlook, gmail and other emailers that stop the sending of intel executables. 30+ years and billions of dollars that have gone into software development and this is their answer --- just block every .exe file. It annoys the heck out of me.

To extract the VZEM emulator, simply perform the following steps.

1) Unzip vzem.zip	(www.winrar.com or www.winzip.com or 'extract file' if using Windows 7 or greater)
2) rename vzem.ex_ to vzem.exe
3) run vzem.exe

There is no adware, malware, junkware, crapware, viral or trojan rubbish associated with these files.
I know it is extremely hard to trust some random person out there supplying a program willy-nilly.
But please trust me on this; it is good to go.

vzrom.v20 is the ROM v2.0 which is standard in all VZ300's.
vzrom.v21 is a patched v2 ROM with all of the extended BASIC commands activated.

Simply re-configure by selecting the appropriate ROM within VZEM.
