Addict quality department (TM) is proud to bring you final
version of our demo Optical.
Some release notes:
This release contains numerous bugfixes and optimizations.
We tuned the data and our datafile handling routines
which results in much shorter load time. The biggest change
is higher quality soundtrack we were not able to put in party version
due to size constraints. During few months from presenting
party version at MS we found lots of hardware compatibility
problems. 99% of them were/are driver related. This version
renders some data in less optimal but also less driver
confusing way. Demo generally works perfectly on any Nvidia
card with any drivers as long as it is run under Windows 2000.
W9x should be fine too, but it's too unpredictable to say
anything for sure :)). Of course should work on anything with
OpenGL 1.1. You should now get dot3 bump mapping effects on
cards supporting ARB_texture_env_dot3 (without specular pass -
seems to be impossible without register combiners).
There are options to disable NV_ extensions - may help
sometimes. Beware that disabling VAR causes visible slowdown in
the first scene (at least on my Celeron 466) and disabling
combiners means no specular bump mapping.
It is _very_ reasonable to run this demo on newest Detonator
drivers (12.41 now).

PS. Original readme.txt that got lost somewhere just before
Mekka&Symposium is included - Lettique got his credits now :))
PS2. Special thanks for him for help with finding one nasty bug in
 my code :)))
PS3. You can do screenshots with F11 if you like
