==[mr boom]============================================================[v1.1]=

what is mrboom ???
mrboom is a multiplayer freeware game, made for dos (but that also works
fine in w95). it is compatible with ipx for network gaming, so bombermen
have the opportunity to walk in your coaxial cables.

freeware:
you are allowed to include this game on any cd roms, or anything you want.
you don't have to contact me for that, but feel free to mail me if you want.
please get the latest version on http://www.mygale.org/~mrboom

warranty:
please note that this game is given to you with no warranty. you use this
program at your own risk. I take no responsibility of blabla blablabla
  whether used blablablablabla or not.

how to play in an ipx network:
first run the game on the *fastest* computer of your network (master),
then you can connect others (slaves) but simply running the game.
( If you play in windows 95, open a DOS windows, (run dos IPX drivers),
PUT THE WINDOWS IN FULL SCREEN, and then run the game.)
slaves won't see the intro pic and will read a special-slave scrolly.
slaves can connect, disconnect, reconnect, reboot or do whatever they
want without making troubles to the currently played game but they can
only join a new game when the master is in the "recrutement" menu. If
they were playing a game before they left, they can rejoin the match.
Only the master can stop a currently played game, by pressing ESC, he's
also the only one to have the right to skip victory, draw games and rewards
parts... A slave can be a 386 without memory, but there will be no VGA
display on it. It will be a connected-keyboard ! If you have a "half-slow"
computer (like a dx2 66) linked on the network, run something like smartdrv
configured to eat as much memory as possible, this way it will be handled
like a no display connected-keyboard. (when less than 2m6 is advailable)
If the game is too slow in network, you can try take a nodisplay master too.

network troubles:
when a slave quit to DOS and "lost connection" is displayed on it,
that mean that the master stopped the program, or that the master is too
slow... Then better try another master in the network.
If you have troubles with windows 95, you're not the only one, keep in mind
it runs fine at my home with it !!! read "how to play in an ipx network"
  again !

troubles gus:
if you don't have sound, run something like cubic player to init your gus.

keyboard:
action.... space & 0/inser for bombs, TAB & ./suppr for remote control.
  movement.. a,q,t,y & arrows
if the game is too slow:
type 'speed' or 'slow' at any time to change the mode. (default is slow)

bye !!!:
some others nice dinas & funny oversized egos childish stories in
demofr.txt. my email is rmd_@hotmail.com. (please mail !)
by the way, in case you bother, the game is written in 100% asm with pmodew.
thanks for reading; enjoy the game; and PLEASE: try it in network !
Et les radios commerciales je les deteste.
