How to get there: Follow Bredabaan (E19) direction Breda, then Zundert-Meer.

Personal impressions:

I went to Barocci the weekend it reopened, and, needless to say, there was A
LOT of people! We had to wait in a row for about 45 min before we could get in.
Then there was a fouille that was the most drastical I ever saw in a club.
First, you had to empty all your pockets, then they searched you for unwanted
stuff very careful (even your wallet!). But, once entered, it was worth it all.
Although Barocci is in Zundert, Holland - it is just over the border with Bel-
gium - , you will besides Dutch people also meet Belgian folks (so don't think
you will be seen as 'a stupid Belgian' :) ). Let's get on with a description.
Outside there is a large parking, but having to pay 100 bucks for the parking
dude is in my opinion a rip-off. I wonder what these guys earn in just one
night! Anyway, inside the club is the same as it was before the closing. Still
all those red & yellow lights around the club and the 2 moving platforms, yes,
WITH nice babes dancing on them (hired, but what the fuck)... The discobar is
on the 2nd floor, as opposed to the dancefloor and bar, which are on the first.
The sound is pretty loud, and the bass reproduction is satisfying. I didn't
spot any laser, just a lot of blacklights.
As for the music, well, it is DAMN good! The only thing I find a bit a pity is
that about 20 % of the music played is older than 6 months (I even heard tracks
like 'Magic Bells' by Two Pieces, 'Owl' by Indo Tribe etc.) But also a lot of
'bangelijke' (translated: kewl, or even KReWL) new tracks. I went there on a
saturday, so I heard Frank Struyf and Dimitri play. It was well mixed, not mix-
ed like you would say 'Ooooh my fucccckkkkin Go-od!' but the beatmixes were
nearly always perfect. I didn't hear the usual Bonzai / Dance Opera style, as
in Cherry Moon or Illusion though. Maybe becoz it is in Holland? But neverthe-
less ass-kicking if you like it around 140-150 BPM.
Conclusion: I visited Barocci the night it reopened and revisited it twice in
one month. So, it is really worth the trip. Also, on saturdays you will have
a big chance of meeting me there, which should take away your last hesitations
:))

Events coming up at Barocci:

Well... The only flyer I received yet was one of the bus-line that is instal-
led between Barocci and The Hole. It leaves at Barocci 05.00 AM in the morning
and then goes to afterclub The Hole in Schoten (Belgium).

The next issue of Belgian Clubs will be out soon. Stay alert!

This series of txt files on Belgian Clubs is just for your information. This
should never be considered positive or negative publicity whatsoever. The opini
on is this of a biased person; you may find that a club which gets a lower ra-
ting is better than one with a higher rating. However, MOST people can follow
