Subject: High level developer's kit?

Are there more high level routines than those in the 2.01 SDK available? I want
routines that load a patch into the GUS and return whatever pointer I need to
then play it. Are there UltraLoadPatch and UltraPlayPatch routines?
Excuse my ignorance.
