On a Roland Sound Canvas, the note frequencies for the drum channel(s) - two
may be active at one time - are controlled by sysex messages. (Although
channel 10 is defaulted to drums, you may send a sysex message to make any
channel melodic, drum one, or drum two.) This is great if you want to have
two completely different sized snares at once, or if you want to have a
brush set along with a normal drum set.

Something ELSE we need sysex for!!!
