To enter our big competition, all you have to do is send us your classified advert. That's right, just create an advert using Spectrum's 'Classified ...' menu entry, print it, and pop it in an envelope, email it to us, or include it on any discs you send. We will then collate your adverts into regularly updated files for normal public domain distribution.

Send you advert marked '{fb1C00000650 competition{fb1000000' to our editorial address. Normal rules apply (see below).

For every entry we receive, a pint of the nearest alcohol will be drunk by a member of Sounds Riscy - that's a promise!

In true national lottery style, the winner takes all. There is only one prize, and that is of the eight software titles listed below:

The idea of setting up the 'Digital Databank BBS' was conceived by the Sysop, in May 1992, after spending a number of frustrating hours trying to find some Acorn related information, without success.

The Sysop decided that there was a specific need to gather as much Acorn information as possible under one roof, and broadcast it to as many people as possible. But what medium to use? It had to cover as large a geographical area as possible and needed to be updated as frequently as possible. The Sysop, having a number of years experience in comms, made a decision to start the ball rolling by purchasing suitable equipment in order to make this ambition possible.

To reflect the direction of the project, the Bulletin Board was called the 'Digital Databank BBS' and was released on Monday 14th December 1992.

Run on a Risc PC 600 with 9Mb Ram, a 420Mb IDE drive and a 17" monitor, 'Digital Databank BBS' is open 24 hours a day. There are three lines, maintained by one USRobotics Dual Standard and two USRobotics 14.4k Sportster modems.

Call 'The Digital Databank' today; apart from the cost of your phone call, it's absolutely free!

To call, set your _comms software_"PD.Apps.Morph/121" to 8N1 with ANSI graphics, and dial (01707) 329306/323531.
