     [ 1. OPENING WORDS ]ķ
                    ķ
                                   Ľ

For the third times in a row, Imphobia & Antares invites you again to ex-
perience another great WiRED party. After the success of last year Wired
event, we have been working hard to make of Wired'96 the coolest scene
event ever and certainly an event that YOU scene people will never forget!

We want WiRED to be a real special event. Not another of those commercial
events that one see to much those last times but a real scene event with a
real scene spirit, all this combined with all the advantages of a quality
   party organising.

     [ 2. WHERE AND WHEN ? ]ķ

	   Sunday around 17h.

[ 3. THE MAIN ORGANISER STAFF IS ]ķ
                    ķ
                                   Ľ

	      Van Audenhove Jeff (Darkness/Imphobia)
	      Van Miegroet Damien (Damien/Imphobia)
	      Baligant Franois (Access/Antares)

	      Holtappels Bert (Victor/ex-Black Design)
	      Buytaerts Kris (Sleeping Dog/The Natives)

In addition to those, many people are helping us out from time to time and
will be organising WiRED together with us during party-time.

It's important to note that we are all scene members. This makes us able to
understand problems you may encounter while attending YOUR Party. Yeah,
WiRED is YOUR Party ! This is why we ask you to feel free to contact us if
there is something you want to tell/ask us. We will be extremely glad to
answer your questions and receive your critics about some of the choices we
have made in the party rules.

     [ 4. WHAT WILL IT COST ? ]ķ
                    ķ
                                   Ľ

As this year we have much more costs comparing to last years as we now have
to pay for the room, projector, big screen, etc.. the entrance fee has to
be increased a bit, but as Wired is a non commercial party and as we don't
want to act like some other party organisers who are asking very huge
entrance fee, we therefore tried to keep it as low as possible considering
  all the costs we have.

The entrance fee will be: 900 BEF (for 3 days with Table, Electricity, etc.)
If you are a girl : it's FREE!

As usual _ALL_ of the money from the entrance fee (after we remove our costs)
will be used as competitions prizes.

Note that we do only accept payement in Belgian Francs, so make sure to
change some money into belgian currency before arriving at the party place.

     [ 5. COMPETITIONS ]ķ
                    ķ
                                   Ľ

 * GENERAL RULES FOR ALL COMPETITIONS

  - The organizers reserve the right to make changes to the competitions
rules and to disqualify any entry which is not suitable to take part into
    the competition for any reasons.

  - Competitions are held for PC platforms.

  - Every group is free to contribute with as many Demos, Raytrace, 64kb
    intro as they want to.
As for the solo competition (gfx, music, 4kb intro), only one entry per
graphic artist/musician/coder will be accepted in each competition.

  - The competitors MUST be present at the party place in order to compete.
For group productions, at least one member of the team has to be present.

  - All entries must be delivred in time for the deadline at the information
desk. This is very important if we want to have enough time to process
    every contribution.

  - All contribution disks must be marked with the following information:
     * Which Competition,
     * Competitor Name/Group
     * Boot Config (when needed).

  - Contribution disks won't be returned.

  - The organiser have the rights to remove a competition if there isn't
enough competitors to make a competition out of it.

  - For demos & intros, only 100% VGA Register level compatible graphics mode
and VESA 1.2. If you use special VESA modes (like the one supported by
the latest UNIVBE) your demo must still run on standard VGA Card, it's up
to you to decide if you will adapt the effect or if your demo can skip
the part (of course it may be shown on the big screen with the graphic
    mode you want).

  - If your demo still requires any interaction, we want ONE people of the
    competing in the Control Room.

  - All entries for the PC intros (4k and 64k), Gfx and Music competitions
will be spread by the organisers after the party.

  - For the PC demo competition entries, it's up to you to tell us if we can
release or not your product at the party place. You will have *ONE* month
after the Party to finish and release your product, else we will spread
the party version. (we won't make any exeptions).

    garbled screen.

If you use special VESA modes (like those supported by the latest UNIVBE),
bring your own boot disk for drivers. BUT it must ALSO be able to run on
a standard VGA card. It's up to you to decide if you adapt the effect for

The Pc demos and Pc 64k intros competitions entries will be judged in two
differents ways. There will be a public voting that will count for 60% and
a jury voting composed of well know and respected scene people that will
  count for 40%.

All the other compos will be judged by a public voting (100%).

     [ 7. PRIZES MONEY ]ķ
                    ķ
                                   Ľ

We, the organisers won't make any money out of the party. Unless some other
so called parties which are based on the money, we are organising the WiRED
party because we want to make a quality _non commercial_ party and want to
keep a real scene spirit in it. All the money left from the entrances fee,
after we remove our costs, will be used for the competitions prizes. As we
can't say exactly how many people will attend the party we can't make an
estimation but considering the success of last year Wired party and as many
people said they will attend this year, one can guess it's gonna be much.
The prizes money will be based on percentages of the entrance money, the
  percentages will go like this:

	   Demos 64kb Intros 4kb intros

	   1st place: 17% 1st place: 10% 1st place: 7%
	   2nd place: 12% 2nd place: 8% 2nd place: 4%
	   3nd place: 9% 3nd place: 5% 3nd place: 2%

	   M.ch. Music Handraw Gfx

	   1st place: 7% 1st place: 7%
	   2nd place: 4% 2nd place: 4%
	   3nd place: 2% 3nd place: 2%

Those percentages don't include the prizes money for the Raytraced movies,
the Raytrace graphics competitions and the Ansi competition. We can't pre-
view the prizes that will be given for those compos because we can't know
if there will be many entries and what will be their quality. It wouldn't
be good to give a lot of prize money for a stupid logo moving on the screen
(clich) while it wouldn't be good either to give a very small quantity of
prize money for a high quality animation and the same goes for the Raytrace
Graphics and the ansi competition, but if there is quality, the prizes will
  be adequate.

Additional hardware prizes might also be ADDED to those prizes.

ALL PRIZES will be given CASH during the PRIZE CEREMONY at the end of
  the party.

[ 8. SOME OF THE PARTY FEATURES ]ķ
