ACGUIT - Advanced Gravis Ultrasound patch

(C) 1993 Copyright IdMEDIA and Franois Dion

Description
===========

      ACGUIT is the 4th patch of the REAL patches serie. In this serie,
all patches are of real instruments. It is distributed in an archive called
ACGUIT.ZIP. In the archive you should have:

Directory of B:\
ACGUIT   PAT    408177 08-16-93   7:35p
ACGUIT   TXT      4583 08-16-93   7:35p
        2 file(s)

      If a file is missing or is not of this length, please ask the person
you got it from to erase the archive and get the correct version from one of
the official distribution points (see end of file).

      ACGUIT.PAT is a real accoustic guitar multisampled (9 samples). The
range covers G1 to G6, just a few notes more than a real guitar. ACGUIT.PAT
is not meant to replace ACGUITAR.PAT from Gravis, because it is very large.
It is however quite superior sounding. Each string is sampled (E2/A2/D3/G3/
C4/F4) plus additional notes in the higher octaves (A3#/D4#/G4#) so you will
see changes in harmonics at certain points on the keyboard, which will
simply be a change of string. Note also that each sample has it's own
enveloppe with a standard metal/nylon combo release rate. The raw samples
(16 bits 25KHz) were taken from a sysex dump on a 4mm tape (DAT) from a local
music studio (since the original samples were over twice the current size,
i couldn't use the original loop points).

What's next
===========

      If you dont have them already, go and grab ACCRDEON, 808DRUMS, 808ADD1,
ANASYN2, ANASYN3 (ANASYN1.ARJ was just a test, really), STEELDRM, 727DRUMS,
MILIDRUM, GUNS and TTONE (and probably a bunch more, depending on how long
ago this has been written...)
      More real instruments (B3, piano) are ready, but require support of
layering and > 64Kb waves, so they will be released when the drivers support
these options.
      If they do not sound better than the ones distributed by Gravis, i will
not bother to release them, but i think they will be worth it. In parallel
i'll be doing a PERCS patch serie (percussive sounds), an ANASYN patch
serie (analog synths) and an FX patch serie (various sound effects).
