Mekka Symposium 2001 music competition entries
brought to you in SID format by Waz/Padua
==============================================

26 entries out of 29 are here for you to enjoy.
Missing is "World Wide Message Tribe 2001" by
Cosowi/Plush. He claimed his disk back after the
competition and is not releasing the tune at the
moment, so please respect his wishes.

Arman/Xenon and Devilock's tunes are already in HVSC, as
/VARIOUS/A-F/Behdad_Arman/Wetsexfuck.sid,
/VARIOUS/A-F/Devilock/Like_the_Wind.sid,
so they are not included here.

As was the case in MS2000, entries were pre-selected
for listening in the 1 hour allotted to the competition
play time, although all entries could be voted on.

Dwayne Bakewell's "Last Ninja 1 Remix" has a slight bug
when the tune loops. Look out for the stray sample at
the 4:07 mark and every 3:20 thereafter when the tune
loops. This was exactly how it plays on a C64 as well,
unfortunately, although first time around the tune is
perfectly okay.

Welli's "Blochtek" also gets very badly out of synch
at the 1:20 mark. Again, this is how it behaves on the
C64 and is probably due to the loop or end commands not
being placed properly in the DMC editor that was used.

A lot of entries are also quite large in file size. This
is due to a fair number of contestants not packing and
saving their music in the editor they used.

The exception is "Moving Up" by Reiter/Apidya, where
about 60K of the file is used up by the samples. I had
to hardcode a routine to get it working in Sidplay.
It was messy, but at least it works, although whether you
deem four or five samples played repeatedly to be worthwhile
is your opinion.

All SIDs ripped by Waz/Padua except:
"Fokotozo" - sent to me by Agemixer/Scallop (thanks, Ari :)
"Embarrassed "Emotions" which was handed in to the organisers
in SID format by Rayden himself.

Thanks also to the following:

* Hoogo/Padua (for sending me Rayden's entry)
* DJB/Onslaught/Blues Muz' (for asking me to do the conversion
of your tune to SID format and sending me the C64 prg)
