        [ Dec 93 | freeze.mod | 4ch mod | 6:50 | 192k ]

This is the very first MOD I composed so please don't judge it too
seriously! A four channel demo tune composed using Triton's
        original FastTracker

= 3 Edges =
        [ Jan 94 | 3edges.mod | 8ch mod | 8:01 | 280k ]

My second tune and it's an 8 channel MOD. This is one of my
most popular mods getting the most feedback! I think it's been
used in a game, it was distributed with Mod4Windows and it
seems to have made the entire Compuserve/shareware circuit? hm.
However, I was still very early in my composing career so my
style and technique isn't very good here.

= 4 JsNO =
        [ Feb 94 | 4jsno.669 | 669 extended ]

JsNO of SRD and the Hornet team developed an extended 669 tracker
during this period and invited me to test his tracker and compose
a few tunes for it. This tune was one of them.

= Funky Jam =
        [ Apr 94 | funkyjam.mod | 4ch mod | 2:30 | 258k ]

This is one of the tunes from Enigma's Lost Destiny Music Disk
released in 1994. Funky Jam is a funky guitar 4 channel mod.
The riff from this mod is actually one I made up for our band,
but the song never came about.

= Pesante =
        [ Apr 94 | pesante.mod | 4ch mod | 2:57 | 200k ]

This is another demo tune for the 4 channel Lost Destiny Music Disk

= Lost Destiny =
        [ Apr 94 | lostdest.mod | 4ch mod | 9:12 | 319k ]

This is the theme tune from Enigma's Lost Destiny Music Disk.
A four channel symphonic tune, this displays some of my classical
influences. However, as expected, four channels is not really
enough to fully convey a true orchestral timbre.

= Sunrise =
        [ Apr 94 | sunrise.mod | 4ch mod | 3:55 | 346k ]

This was my first up tempo demo tune. I am not sure what style to
call this but it seems to fit in a fusion between computer demo
music and pop techno and synthesizer music.

= Sunset =
        [ Apr 94 | sunset.mtm | 12ch mtm | 380k ]

Sunset is supposed to follow sunrise in a line of thematic titles.
However the style is slightly different. Sunset was my entry for
the unsuccessful Composer's Competition 1. The style is house,
showing the beginnings of my influences from US undergroud house.

= Jupiter =
        [ Aug 94 | Damage Music Disk Vol 3 | 6ch s3m ]
[ Reached the Top 10 of the Modness chart ]

Jupiter is one of the first pieces I composed in Future Crew's
ScreamTracker 3. It is also one of the first pieces I was nearly
totally happy with :) Jupiter has an eerie space atmosphere to
it. I am hoping to continue on the planet series one day.

= Adrenalin =
        [ Sep 94 | r-adrnln.s3m | 8ch s3m | 4:37 | 340k ]
[ 1st in the Rookie Section of Music Contest 2 ]

This was my entry for the Rookie section of Music Contest 2. It
eventually won that section. I tried to compose a tune here that
was exciting and contained various techno techniques used in the
        commercial scene.

= Jupiter (re-release) =
        [ Oct 94 | jupiter.s3m | 6ch s3m | 5:09 | 261k ]
[ Reached the Top 10 of the Modness chart ]

Almost the same as the Damage MD version except for the ending.
However, I am still not satisfied with it :(

= Classical Fantasy =
        [ Nov 94 | clsfntsy.669 | 669 extended ]

One important fan of mine has been Jensi, one of the creators
of Mod4Windows - the best mod player for Windows around. It also
happens to be one of the best mod players, playing all s3m
and mod effects better than most other players. When Mod4Windows
incorporated support for JsNO's extended 669 format they required
a test tune to distribute with the player. This neo-classical tune
        is the result.

= Evolution =
        [ Nov 94 | tr-evol.s3m | 6ch s3m | 4:41 | 140k ]

Evolution is an experimental acid tune written in a similar
style to another acid tune I heard on RTRFM 92.1FM in Perth.

= Wintersweet =
        [ Dec 94 | tr-wntrs.s3m | 4ch s3m | 4:54 | 326k ]

After testing some s3m stuff for Jensi for Mod4Windows, I
decided to write a tune that used as many s3m effects as
possible. This s3m nearly does that!! However, it is also a
kewl 4 channel demo tune! I'm quite proud of the techniques of
this choon and how it came off.. btw, the title for this tune
is again chosen by my girlfriend - it is actually a street name
in an area close to where she lives :)

= Shag =
        [ Feb 95 | tr-shag.s3m | 8ch s3m ]

What a name :) hahaa. my girlfriend chose it by looking up a
strange animal in a dictionary. Well, I tried to do a little
harder techno here but it didn't turn out very well. It still
has a tinge of that slight techno style that I do.

= Burning Love =
        [ Feb 95 | jjj-love.s3m | 16ch s3m | 5:32 | 405k ]
        [ ****+ by Hornet Demo Team ]

Are you into soppy piano/string love tunes? Well, you normally
find these type on MIDI format but here is a s3m for you and
your gf/bf :) Composed for my honey, Su-Lyn, this was composed
in a period when I started to compose more realism music instead of
techno and demo music. ps. Did you know that apparently some
people have done an acapella Boyz2Men version of this tune?

= Short Dick Man =
        [ Feb 95 | jjj-dick.s3m | 5ch s3m | 4:27 | 286k ]

This is a cover of the original deep Short Dick Man by 20 Fingers.
Unfortunately it did got a bit commercialised when it got in the
charts. Unfortunately it sounds quite bare and this tracking didn't
come over as well as I would have liked.

= Angel =
        [ Feb 95 | jjj-angl.s3m | 16ch s3m | 6:42 | 722k ]
        [ **** by Hornet Demo Team ]

This cool s3m is my first real dance/house track and displays
the vocals of my girlfriend, Su-Lyn!! This tune will get you up
on your feet! Watch out for another vocal House track real soon...

= After Sunset =
        [ Mar 95 | ExpOZe MD (aftersun.s3m) | 8ch s3m | 10:00 | 307k ]

Composed for the all Australian ExpOZe music disk this is an
8 channel s3m in my boring techno style. Actually, I tried to use
(even parody) commercial techno riffs and styles. Nothing special
in this choon except it gets a bit long and boring.

= Eternity =
        [ May 95 | j-etrnty.s3m | 12ch s3m | 6:10 | 514k ]
        [ **** by Hornet Demo Team ]

Another House tune, I tried to make this as professional as I
could under 22kHz 8bit samples.. However I think it came out
quite well. More happy house than deep underground stuff. Originally
composed for a DJ here to send to some US record companies.

= Kingdom Skies =
        [ Jul 95 | e-94956.zip | 16ch XM | 4:42 | 509k ]
[ 1st in the Veteran Section of Music Contest 3 ]

This is the winning tune of the Veteran section of Music
Contest 3!! A 16 channel XM this is probably one of the best
symphonic/orchestral tunes you'll hear in mod format out there.
My major influences were the film soundtracks to space movies
as well as large symphonic works. It is also the first tune
        I composed in Triton's new FastTracker 2.

NB. If anyone is distributing this original MC3 competition entry
please download the latest j-kgdsky.zip from ftp.cdrom.com with
        full mod text

= Faith =
        [ Jul 95 | j-faith.s3m | 16ch s3m | 3:24 | 386k ]

My first religious tune, this is a guitar tune in the slow
Satriani/Gary Moore/Necros (haha) style.. I love the solo in
this (if only I could improvise like this on my guitar *grin*),
however it does get a little monotonous, but it's good to relax
to. I think this was included in a Union Music Disk, but I'm not
sure if it has been released yet.

= Echo Point =
        [ Jan 96 | echopnt.zip | 16ch XM | 6:12 | 767k ]

Echo Point was my remote entry for Oz'96, the first Australian Demo
Party held in Sydney, Australia. However, there were a few problems
with the voting and the music system and this tune didn't even
get voted for! It will not be released yet as it may be used
        for Oxygen's next intro.

= Eternal Dream 2 =
        [ Jan 96 | etdream2.s3m | 6ch s3m | 2:56 | 16k ]
        [ 3rd in the 16kb section of Oz'96 ]

Eternal Dream 2 is my entry for the 16kb music competition of
Oz'96, the first Australian Demo Party. I didn't know how hard
it was to compose chip toons until I entered this in. However
I quite liked this tune and may compose a normal sized tune based
        on some themes from this.

= Kingdom Skies (re-release) =
        [ Feb 95 | e-94956.zip | 16ch XM | 4:42 | 509k ]
[ 1st in the Veteran Section of Music Contest 3 ]

Since the version of Kingdom Skies that is floating around the
internet seems to be the competition version that has no text
or identification in it at all of the composer or song title,
I have decided to re-release it with the proper text.
